Randy Johnson

Senior Pastor
Randy is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from high school, he attended Southwest Baptist University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. Following college he received a Master of Religious Education Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Randy is married to Janice, his wife of 38 years. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Randy surrendered to the ministry in his junior year of college, never imagining that journey would lead to the pastorate. He thought he would end up doing recreation ministry or youth ministry, but God, as He so often does, had other plans. Randy has pastored churches in Oklahoma, Missouri, and now Kansas. He began his ministry at First Baptist Church of Iola in June, 2015.

Randy has always been involved in Southern Baptist life, serving at the association, state, and national levels. He served nine years as a member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention, and currently is a Trustee of Southwest Baptist University.
